About Me
My training was integrative drawing on Person-centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive CBT modes of therapy. When it comes to therapy, there is no 'one cap fits all' solution as every client is different and uniquely seeking support to meet their needs. My interventions are therefore tailored and designed to suit the individual and unique issues and needs clients present.
I have over 20 years experience of working with individuals, young people and families in the public, private and voluntary sectors. My PhD research in Social Work gives me a strong grounding in wider societal problems and gives me the opportunity to understand people’s behaviour when it comes to information seeking.
I have leveraged training in my PhD with the transition into counselling and psychotherapy, which has given me a deeper understanding of human behaviour and development. It has also given me the ability to support people in making sense of their relationships and understanding themselves better in the process.
